The Edinburgh International Film Festival Student Critics Competition is now OPEN!
The Student Critic scheme aims to support the next generation of film journalists, offering experience, skills and networking opportunities to students with a passion for cinema.
Student Critics will attend screenings, receptions and events at EIFF 2017. They will be mentored by professional film journalists, creating articles throughout their week at EIFF.
All travel and accommodation will be provided.
This opportunity is open to all UK and Scottish students currently studying in the UK.
In recognition of this year’s festival focus on Poland, they will also be selecting two Polish students studying in Poland to join the Festival’s Student Critic team this year.

- Matriculation number
- Institution of study and name of course
